Reading the Revolution: Propaganda, Disinformation, and Wicked Witches

We’re pulling back the curtain on the power of propaganda and the spread of disinformation!

Thursday, November 20, 8:00 PM ET

In this Reading the Revolution session, we’re diving into the mechanics and impact of propaganda and disinformation in shaping what—and who—we believe. With Lee McIntyre, author of On Disinformation: How to Fight for Truth and Protect Democracy and Barbara McQuade, author of Attack From Within: How Disinformation is Sabotaging America, we’ll explore how misinformation spreads, how it undermines democracy, and what tools we have to fight back.

Then, Marissa Bode who plays Nessarose in Wicked and Wicked: For Good will join us to explore the role of storytellers, the timeliness of Wicked, and the way she weighs the risks and rewards of taking brave stands in this moment.

Join us to connect the dots between the cultural phenomenon of Wicked and the ways power twists truth, creates scapegoats, and defines who’s seen as “good” or “wicked.”
