We, the people, believe every child deserves the freedom to learn in a fully funded, safe, and inclusive public school. But Trump and his MAGA allies are trying to dismantle the Department of Education—gutting funding for public schools, stripping protections for students with disabilities, and leaving millions of kids without the resources they need to succeed.

This is how authoritarian regimes tighten their grip: defunding education, silencing teachers, and controlling what students can and can’t learn. If they succeed, working families will pay the price while billionaires get tax breaks.

Congress must act immediately to protect public education, defend students’ rights, and fully fund the Department of Education. Our children’s future—and our democracy—depend on it.
