Texas's new law on abortion is one of the most restrictive in the country, banning abortion after just six weeks — before many people know that they are pregnant. The new law effectively ends Roe v. Wade protections in the state, and allows private citizens to sue abortion providers and anyone who helps a woman get an abortion — including doctors and anyone who drives a woman to a clinic.
