Please join Matriarchy Rising & YPDA Big Island for a dynamic demonstration in solidarity with Texans who have lost their abortion rights. We are joining with national protests by the Women’s March and Planned Parenthood on the same day of Saturday, October 2nd. The protest will take place in Kailua-Kona at all four-corners of the intersection of Queen Ka’ahumanu HWY and Makala Blvd.
Several Kona artists and musicians have created large visual pieces and grounding chants for a surreal demonstration.
What to bring: masks, water, signs, drums & percussion.
Safety is Important: Masks are required as is social distancing. During the protest, we must stand in separate pods with our ohana/covid-bubble and stay distanced 20 feet apart from other pods. Pods can be no larger than 10 people. This event is not a march.
Saturday, October 2, 2021. From 3:00-4:30pm at the 4 corner intersection of Makala Blvd. and Queen Ka’ahumanu HWY in Kailua-Kona.
Park near the courthouse, above the Kona Commons Shopping Center, on the mauka side of the highway.

Extra signs, masks, and water will be available.
This is a keiki friendly event to support Reproductive Freedom and Healthcare Access hosted by Matriarchy Rising & YPDA Big Island.
