The Washington monument is the large statue directly across from the art museum steps, in between two fountains. You should hear the drums of Batalá Philly playing to lead you to us as they will start at 11:45 am!

We are planning a nationwide mobilization on October 2 to defend our reproductive rights in response to the rise of attacks on abortion access in states like Texas. Our mission is clear: On October 2nd, before the Supreme Court reconvenes, we must send a loud, powerful message to anti-abortion extremists and our leaders that we will not go back to the days when women died needlessly due to unsafe back-alley abortions.

We will be meeting by the Washington Monument across from the Art Museum and marching to City Hall to join our other Philadelphia area event- a rally taking place at 1 pm. Check out the other event on the map to learn more about the details of the rally. Feel free to join for the march and rally, or either event individually! Batalá Philly will be kicking off our march to get things going. Masks are mandatory to encourage safety; please bring one, along with your best homemade protest sign!

Please see our GoFundMe for donations; Women's March is rasing money for their Texas and DC marches but all other marches are volunteer funded! Extra funds will be donated to Womens Medical Fund: https://www.gofundme.com/f/march-to-defend-abortion-access
