As we all know, yesterday Trump nominated Amy Coney Barrett to fill RBG’s seat on the Supreme Court. Not only would the appointment be a direct threat to women’s rights, LGBTQIA+ rights, immigrant rights, racial equality, the efforts to end police brutality, and healthcare, but Trump has also openly stated that he is rushing to fill the seat because he wants the Supreme Court on his side for any legal challenges he makes regarding election results.
On October 17th, women (and their allies!) all around the country will be marching to show the administration what they’re up against and to remind them that “we the people” are the ultimate decision makers in our constitutional democracy. I am excited to be hosting Tucson’s March— please sign up below if you are interested in attending!
