Join Long Beach Resister Sisters and LB/OC Women Rising at the courthouse steps as we raise our voices today at 6:00 pm, the day the Supreme Court announced their decision on Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization.
Due to the leak of the U.S. Supreme Court’s Decision on Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization on May 2nd, we knew that the court planed on dismantling our constitutional protection for abortion. That would throw out nearly 50 years of precedent set by Roe v. Wade — the decision that established our constitutional right to abortion in 1973.
We will gather at the courthouse steps in Long Beach not only to demonstrate that people still support abortion access, but to show that we won’t back down. Our movement will continue to help people access care, no matter what.
There will be a table with poster board and markers to make signs when you arrive.
We encourage event participants to wear masks and practice social distancing.
